March ’20 Update – New Site Theme!

Hi everyone! Apologies for the dry spell of content in the latter half of February; it's always a difficult month for me with how short it is, and how busy it gets with my birthday right at the start of it. I've been working on several things in the meantime, however, so that time was not wasted.

Aside from progressing through my current commission queue, I invested a good chunk of time into revamping the website and making it more presentable. I quietly switched to the new theme about two weeks ago, which brings several improvements to the site's layout and usability. There's still some more changes I'd like to make, but this update dealt with the worst problems caused by me having cobbled everything together in a mad rush last year. I really hope you like the new look!

I've also been a little hung up on how best to post content updates. This site's blogging format lets me group content together a lot more easily, but doing so too liberally would circumvent the tagging system I've been using with it.

I've been tagging my posts here as carefully as I always have anywhere else. I've designed the site, including its email notifications, to make content tags as apparent as possible, so you always know exactly what you're clicking on. It would be good to have per-user site-wide tag blocking someday, but I haven't found any easy way to do that right now.

Ultimately, I think it will work best if I leaned more towards curating my content like I do on my public accounts (i.e. more frequent, individual posts), while grouping images whenever there is a common theme between them. This will let me keep things organized, post more easily, and as a result, more frequently.

I've been working hard to regain stability in my workflow, and I feel like I'm getting close. There's also lots of fun stuff ready for me to post real soon, so there's plenty to look forward to. Stay tuned and as always, thanks for your support!
