Yes - I'm taking commissions again!

This is going to serve as a trial run for my new queueing system. I'm trying to avoid divulging too much information because it would defeat the purpose of it, but here's the rundown.

For starters, I've updated my prices and want to give you all a sneak peek at what they'll be like in comparison to my previous rates. Feel free to skim through and compare as you see fit, and any feedback, if you'd like to give it, is welcomed.

For this first initial intake only, note that I'll be breaking my typical workflow and requiring payment upfront once your commission has been accepted.

Second, I'll be taking them through a new (to me) platform called Artconomy, as a trial run. I would rather not be making the switch from Commiss.io given that I've long since established myself there, but I've lost a lot of trust in its dev and management team over the past couple of years. They've only been getting increasingly less reliable and unresponsive, and I've had enough.

Next, I'll be taking a limited selection of tiers for this first intake; specifically, the following ones:

• Simple Sketch
• Flat Colour Sketch
• "Quickie" Sketch
• Tier 1 "Grab Bag" (45 minute slot)

Last but by no means least, is the new queueing system. To keep it short: there is none! Well, not a typical one anyway. Moving forwards, I'm planning on keeping my waitlist open indefinitely, and picking the next projects for my work queue depending on what I'm feeling like. I'm planning on deciding based on various factors such as wait times, priority queue status, and if it's something I've already worked on before.

Ultimately though, if I've seen and approved your request, then it's just a matter of time until I get to it.

I'll be selecting 3, maybe 4 requests before putting the waitlist and queue on hold, and keep the reserved slots until next time - which will be very soon. You can take your time submitting your request (please do so within the next 3 days though, just this once), and know that there's a very good chance that it'll get done - just that you might need to wait a little for it.

Figured I'd make a quick post regarding some things that might be going unnoticed in the background as of late. Got a couple of projects still ongoing and between maintaining my mental health and keeping focused on priority tasks, sometimes the site goes a little quiet.

I've been in a bit of a low spell recently; I think I was a little overdue for one after being so productive last month, and I'm also still dealing with fallout from the big changes that have come about with my realizing I'm trans. You could call them growing pains, I suppose, but the uncertainty has definitely worn me down. I'm just trying to work my way through it carefully as I can, and continue supporting myself with my art as I figure things out bit by bit.

On that note, The Debauchery Drive has pretty much run its course by now, and I'm happy to say that it's been a resounding success. I really cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity, and I hope the art that will result from it will be worth it. The Donation Page will be up until the 19th next week, when I head up to the UK again to attend CFz. After that, I'll be replacing it with a regular tip jar.

I've been quietly updating the Drive's page as well as my Twitter feed, albeit less quietly, with the illustrations that I've gotten done so far. I plan on uploading them to my other galleries soon. There's another 11 of them I've got queued up to get done from goals that have already been reached, and plenty other goals to be reached besides that. Some of them are close to completion, too!

In other art-related news, I've finally finished my commission queue from last year! I managed to pick up the pace fairly well towards the end, and I hope to keep it that way in future. Please note that I will be updating my prices before reopening, and the next batch will be reserved to my patrons when I'm back from CFz next month. With some upcoming changes to my pricelist that have been overdue, I felt it best to make a quick update post regarding patron commission and YCH slots on the site during the transition period.

When I last opened the priority queue, about 5 months ago, I decided to leave it open indefinitely to give more time for folks to grab a slot. The intention was to keep it open until December, when I would then switch to the public queue once or twice before updating my prices. Obviously that didn't happen, mainly due to a good amount of demand and important life stuff slowing me down a little when clearing out my queue.

With that just about done, I'll be closing my patron-exclusive queue and pausing any new YCH slots for the time being, until I get the public commission queue sorted out. I'll extend the closing dates of any affected YCH slots (just the one, currently) accordingly based on how long this lasts.

Regarding that, while I don't intend to make the queue exclusive to non-patrons, I will be giving them precedence given that I last opened my public queue about 8-10 months ago. Feel free to submit a request, but I'll probably ask that you hold off until the next priority queue opens up.

If you weren't aware that the priority queue was open and have been waiting for a chance to commission me, please let me know and we'll sort something out before I update my pricelist. I plan on improving the system to make it a bit more functional, since it currently has some limitations. At the moment, it relies on a single blog post to notify folks whenever it's been reopened, which isn't ideal.

In the meantime, feel free to let friends know that the public queue's finally about to open if they're interested in getting a commission. I plan on launching via Commissio's notification system first to reward those who've been following me there (which everyone should totally do), and then reopen a second time with a more visible announcement.

Last week, I spent a bunch of time finalizing my commission pricelist, making the last few adjustments and additions following the last batch I took. I now have my full set of standard options ready for business.

I still have some other work left to do before I'm in a position to reopen my queue, but consider this early-early notice that it'll be happening sometime soon. This'll let you decide exactly which option best suits your budget.

Please note that I've set a minimum price of €20 for any single commission. This should only come into play when applying discounts to the "Quickie" sketch tier and, in some cases, the Simple sketch tier. Do keep this in mind if you were aiming for one of the cheaper options.

My custom artwork tiers aren't anything new and work much like most other commission artists' tiers do, so I don't think there's much explaining to be done there. However, I've added a new category I'm calling "Lucky Draw," which has two (technically three) special tiers included:

"Grab Bag" artwork is pretty much a repackaged version of my old Patreon art rewards. For those of you who are unfamiliar, these are timed art slots based on simple prompts. You provide one or two characters along with a few basic themes or kinks with which I will come up with an idea for a piece of artwork. At Tier 1, I will work on the piece for half an hour; at Tier 2, I will work on it for an hour and thirty minutes.

This kind of commission is ideal if you're lacking ideas or prefer to leave it up to me, and often results in work at a higher level of detail than custom tiers of a similar price. You may later upgrade any of the artwork you get at this tier at my usual custom commission rates if you are particularly happy with the result.

"Quickie" sketches work much in the same way, only further simplified. You provide a character for me to draw and an optional theme, and I will draw a quick, loose character sketch based on that. These sketches cannot be upgraded.

During this week's streams I decided to revisit my pricelist artwork, and hopefully bring it close to completion. Most of my time making the background was actually spent making special brushes to create the randomized contents of the candy jars, which was a fun way to go about it.

The work I put into making the brushes already saved me some time in making this background come together. However, I'll more than likely be using them again in future when I swap stuff around to make variations of the pricelist, like for bespoke commissions or advertising my site.

I plan on adding some items in the front display case, another few details on the counter and background, and with a touch of shading it'll be done!

I'm very sorry for the long wait on this one, but here it is! I've attached a slightly revised price list below, both for the sake of clarity as well as to fix some errors. Everything shown in the pricelist is also specified in each corresponding commission listing.

I also made a small diagram, linked here, to help clarify what is meant by "reduced views and equivalents."

Please make sure to submit at the very least any necessary character reference material and a basic concept of your commission idea with your initial request.

It doesn't need to be entirely comprehensive, but every bit you can specify up-front will save time when reviewing your idea. It also ensures that I don't miss any key details due to unnecessarily lengthy correspondence later on.

At last, here's the finalized version of my updated price list. I wanted to make some accompanying artwork to make it a bit more presentable, as you can tell, but the informational content is what matters for now.

Just so you're aware, I'll be opening slots for Coloured sketch and Flat coloured lineart tiers in the next batch of commissions.

It doesn't specify in the pricelist yet, but the base price may be adjusted depending on each character's complexity (or conversely, their simplicity).

Hey all, just wanted to give a status update on commissions and what's been going on with them. I know a lot of you have been eager to snag one for the past couple months - I appreciate the enthusiasm and apologize for the holdup. I've been hard at work getting things set up for that and the last key pieces are just about done.

One major point of preparation has been streamlining my commission queue and the priority queue for patrons, to simplify the whole process and speed things along. The site now has an info page for the commission priority queue, which I will be linking in each of the queue announcement posts for your convenience. Feel free to check it out ahead of time at the link provided, so you know how it works when the time comes.

I will be reopening for commissions sometime this week; Thursday at the very latest. Before then, I would like to share a simplified list with my final revised prices, so that you know what to expect.

For this next batch, I plan on opening slots for digital lined character art and digital sketched character art. I won't be opening a huge amount of slots in each, so as to help improve turnaround and allow myself to reopen the queues again as soon as possible. It might be a tad optimistic right now, but I'm aiming to reopen my public queue around twice a month.

Hey everyone! I'm opening for a small batch of commissions to get the ball rolling again now that things have settled and picked up a little momentum too. Here's what's on offer this time.

This post will be a bit wordy until I figure out any better way of advertising these. I'll be opening slots publicly during each stream and on Thursday unless all slots are claimed.

If demand is greater than the amount of slots available, I will be giving higher priority to those who have commissioned me least recently, to give people a chance if they've been waiting a long time.

Remember to familiarize yourselves with my TOS before ordering a commission. I recently updated it with minor changes and tweaked it to help its readability overall.

Discounts are not included in any prices quoted. Gourmet Praline tier (€15) gets 20% off, while Devil's Food tier (€25) gets 35% off.

2 x Single Character in-Stream Slots

I'll be taking digital commissions during tonight and tomorrow's usual streams.

These are for single character pieces including minor props, and can be ordered as a Sketched (€18), Lined (€30), or Lined and Flat Coloured (€55) piece.

These must be claimed during the stream, but I will be giving priority to eligible patrons who comment below to reserve it in advance. Please specify the level of detail you would like. I'll hold onto your slot for when you're there. They usually run from 9 PM CET for approximately 3 - 4 hours.

I'm going to be on a short trip starting from the end of this week, and would like to take some work with me without needing to carry a laptop along.

These are for single character pieces including minor props and done on A5 paper. They can be ordered as a Sketched (€20), Inked (€35), or Inked and Coloured (€65) piece.

Upgrading to A4 is €20 for sketches and €25 for Inked pieces; shipping is optional, and not included.
