Lately I've gone a little overboard with drawing my pupself in all sorts of situations. This isn't a bad thing, of course, but it still happened. Especially given my experiences with expressing that side of myself lately, it makes sense that I'd be feeling myself through that lens a lot more. It's equally as comforting as it is expressive to me.

I'll start with the saddest, and work our way up in tone and vibe.

I made this at the end of a very bad night, to the extent that I drew it through teary eyes as I cried for most of the evening. It's very much the saddest I've ever drawn myself as a puppy and probably will for a while yet; even the first time I drew her, beat up and abused, she was still smiling.

For the longest time I've wanted my pupself to be more happy-go-lucky, and less burdened by my personal neuroses and tendency to overthink. Be that as it may, puppies can get sad and upset by things too, and that's okay.

This one came to me while thinking about something to make that was both easy to execute and with which I could try exploring some puppy vibes while I was at it, too.

Puppies tend to be good at asking, or rather, begging for things that they want. The past couple of weeks have certainly been coloured by this need and likewise the inability, or at least an intense reluctance, to ask for things I want. It's been a real struggle for me, but maybe I could learn something about that by striving to be more like a puppy.

Dialing the expression in just right was a fun exercise, and I went through a revision or two before settling on this one. Capturing just the tiniest hint of hope behind those big, soulful, begging eyes was essential. You wouldn't ask for things if you didn't believe deep down that you'd get it, now would you?

My friend Ru inspired this one while talking about one of dogs' favourite way to play that he called "bitey game," and it made me think about how puppyfurs might go about it.

Here I am winning a round of bitey game while playing with him. I'm especially pleased with how the muzzles' and paws' poses came out in this one.

I think this one stands on its own but I feel compelled to provide the direct inspiration for it too. I love it to bits.

Last but by no means least, a cozy little scene inspired by a slice of real life, which likewise inspired another earlier piece. I miss my Mommy, and this was my way of rekindling that lovely cozy comfort we shared during the time we were together.

I adore our expressions in this one so, so very much.

This has been in the works for a while, but I'm glad it's finally done and dusted, and I'm really pleased with the result too!

Roo and Austin enjoy a quiet, cozy afternoon playing together in their room, though it looks like their chosen activities might be about to clash in a rather dramatic way.

The poster designs were grabbed from this etsy shop; they've got a bunch more like them.

Poor boys got a rather fitting punishment after neglecting to empty their pails, doing chores while dressed rather embarrassingly for the neighborhood to see!

This has been in the works for a while now so it's good to have it done and dusted at last.

Wolfie and Ru picked this embarrassing scene for their boys in the last session we had, and then I gave it a splash of colour on my own time just in anticipation of perhaps polishing it up further at a later date.

Yes, yes, I did forget more things. We did, this time; Wolfie and I.

These were made or started way back in October last year, and this time even Tier 1's get to scope out a WIP, as a treat!

Couple of big sippies for a couple of small boys. Not sure who's in charge but it looks to me like they're seeking a serious leaking in their future.

And next is a bigger WIP that I've been working on gradually. Just a bit of slice-of-life, cozy and relaxed.

Last month's stream was dedicated to adding more items to Wolfie's dressup game, and a quick, cutesy little sequel drawing to round things off at the end.

You can play with the updated version of the game here, but here are the newly added outfits exported as standalone pictures. The first two were requested specifically by Wolfie, while the third and fourth were something I found inspiration for online or from our ever-growing list of shared art ideas. While they were all very fun to make, they're pretty much entirely one-piece items that won't really mix and match all that well with the other items.

I'm sure you'll find creative ways to work around that, though.

Lastly, he asked me to draw a sequel to an older piece I'd made last year (but never got around to uploading publicly yet, whoops), implying some regression following it. It was a ton of fun to stretch the toony look of my style farther than usual, and I think it turned out really cute, too.

Despite firing on all cylinders throughout Kinktober, I made time for Wolfie's October session for which he asked that we start working on a single bigger project. I was all for it, and when he explained it to me I was all in.

It speaks for itself, but I'm excited to see how it pans out. Gonna be pulling out all the stops with the colouring on this one.

This was very puppy-focused on Russel, during and following a rather restful, pampered nap.

I came across a cute edit of a meme on Twitter (made by Lilly! for Fisk) a while back, and decided to make one for myself and a handful more for some friends while I was at it, too.

Coming up with the sides of the trade was really fun, but not as much as drawing the cutesy little caricatures to go along with them.

The smug as fuck expression on mine is definitely my fave. :3c

The options just immediately gravitated together once they happened in this one's pool: Intangible Influence, Toys, and Objectification & Objectophilia. Love me some ghost hands, and while I could've easily squeezed Soul Chocolate or Tiesel into it, I figured a neutral influence was a better fit this time around.

Russel finds him... herself accosted by some very potent cursed ghost hands, and before she can even react to them, she's spread eagled on her back with a giant puffy puppy cookie well on display for anyone who happens to come across - or inside - her. She's clearly got plenty of options for that now!

Pre-scheduled edit: I realized after finishing and prepping this post that, in my haste to get caught back up on work, I forgot this was one of the prompts I'd selected all five of the terms for, whoops! I did still include "Loss of Control" as an extra, but left out "Suppression & Denial." Nevermind; 4 out of the 3 I'd originally planned to do is still pretty good.

July was rough for me, but I still got some sketches done in between bigger site art and commissioned work.

I was not doing okay for most of the time due to some major life events, and this resulted from a cute little comic that popped up on my Twitter feed and touched a nerve that was still quite raw from the experience.

Next is another silly thing from Twitter, based off of the "BIG X vs BIG Y" meme that was making the rounds at the time. It was a good excuse to draw something fun and cute for my good friends Wolfie and Ru at the same time, especially given, well, them.

I could've probably exaggerated the sizes a bit more but, eh.

Last but not least: wahs.

Plushie and I kept tossing back and forth a screencap I'd taken and captioned of one of the fuzzy dumbasses from the hundreds of videos we shared with each other, and figured it made a good base for a sticker for her as a little gift.

I also practiced trying to capture their iconic and adorable empty-headed vibes, with somewhat mixed success.

Wolfie's last stream was a lot of fun and involved both Ru and Ru's puppy, Petey. Since they've both kind of assumed the role of dog parent, Wolfie came up with an idea inspired by a real life event which would actually push my boundaries a bit (I'm emetophobic) but was still very much something I was on board with.

The most entertaining part was figuring out what to draw for Petey's pictobubble as a euphemism for... Ejecting his lunch. You can find an uncensored version here, which also includes Wolfie's original suggestion for the little pup's dialog.

We had some extra time left over after the main project for some extra pampered fox content.
