Most important part upfront: PLEASE keep a keener eye out for and report any weirdness or problems on the site to me if you notice anything unusual. I just got done moving it to a new server and things might've gotten broken in ways I'm not aware of yet, despite thorough, albeit brief, testing.

The past few weeks I've been quietly making preparations to migrate my entire hosting setup onto a fresh new server because the one I was using was set to be decommissioned. Over the past 24 hours or so, I've gotten that done and dusted, and boy howdy was it a scary and frustrating ordeal.

But, here we are!

To be fair, it's a lot less exciting for y'all since, if I've done my job properly, you shouldn't have noticed a single thing (except if you tried to access the server during that time cause it was in maintenance mode but shh).

So yeah; as I mentioned at the start of the post, for the next couple of weeks please be a little more vigilant than usual, and quicker to report any strangeness going on with the site. There may be things I won't have run across since I'm using it in different ways than you all do, but if all went well then you shouldn't see anything amiss.

After what's felt like, and was likely actually several months' worth of time, consideration and work, I've finally pinned down my updated prices for existing and even some brand new tiers.

In keeping to my existing format, I've done my best to make them as simple and easy to read as possible since the specifics will change anyway from one project to the next. I'd very much appreciate any feedback you have regarding their design and legibility, and if you think anything is missing or needs adjustment.

Either way, here's an early peek at what my commissions will cost for the rest of the year. It was a lot of effort, but it's a significant step in acknowledging how far I've come, and has already helped me value my own work more highly as a result. Just gotta put that into practice now.

I was given the fantastic suggestion by Kazard to add a Like button to the site, and after a quick bit of tinkering, the site now has a fully functional Like button at the bottom of every post!

I appreciate that words don't often come easy for the sake of commenting on content, even when you really, really enjoy it. This will let you give me quick and instant feedback with just the click of a button - or a tap on your screen, it won't judge either way.

I'm able to see who left a like on each post to keep it just a little bit personalized, but your likes will otherwise be kept entirely anonymous to guests and other members.

The past several months have been a very challenging but fruitful learning experience for me, and I believe this has been reflected in my work and the changes I've been making to this site. I'm always looking for ways to do a better job and fix what doesn't work, so here are the latest changes; hopefully for the better.

Commission Progress Posts

I've recently had to rely a little more heavily on commissions for my income, and this has unsurprisingly led to me spending less time on sponsored content for the site. Starting from my next batch of commissions, patrons at the Chocolate Malt Balls (€7) tier and up will now get to see progress work of commissioned art which has been approved by the commissioner.

Commissioners may opt out of this for any reason and at no extra cost so not everything will be included, but it will help fill the gaps in activity when I'm focusing more on my commissioned work. Unlike my sponsored art, finished commissions will be posted publicly as soon as they are done.

Content Tailoring

One thing I've sorely missed since discontinuing the direct art rewards on Patreon was the exciting challenge of making tailor-made content with specific people in mind. Since then, having to choose from such an endless list of possible kinks and themes has left me overwhelmed by choice and struggling to pick any one direction.

To this end, I've also added a new reward to the Devil's Food Cake (€25) tier, "Influencing the Site's Content," which replaces the old "Warmup Queue" perk. Patrons pledging at this tier can now provide their preferred kinks and themes to guide my brainstorming process. If you're one of these generous people, you'll find a new section added to your profile page where you can submit this information for me to reference for ideas.

This will allow me to work the collaborative part of the art rewards back into my creative process, and give high tier patrons some influence on what I produce. I will still be mostly self-directed in this regard, and I won't be including specific patrons' characters in the art resulting from these suggestions. However, this gives me a better idea of what people would like to see me make, and helps to focus my efforts a little bit.

I already have some ideas of how to put these suggestions to use as part of my workflow, so you should hear from me again real soon once I've experimented a little with that. In the meantime, head over to your profile page and let me know what you'd like to see more of.

I'm posting this mainly for my own reference and to keep you guys in the loop, but I'm always open to any additional suggestions or ideas if you have them.

For a while now, I've been thinking about a good working format for me to get back into producing a wide variety of scenes and ideas within a reasonable timeframe. Working with a baseline half hour time slot for each idea, making batches every so often in between my main projects, it'll let me put down various different concepts on paper at a rate comparable to when I was running the patron rewards system.

With the help of my new idea cards (something I made last weekend during streams; if you missed out I'll be posting more about those soon) it'll be really easy for me to quickly come up with one-off filler characters for scene fodder, wherever necessary. Having a quick, easy and fun way to generate these characters (or forms for Yasmin to assume) wherever necessary, that should cover all the gaps necessary for me to get back into this without too much fuss.

Using this approach, I can explore a wider variety of ideas far more effectively. After completing a new batch, I can then also polish up any of the quick sketches I particularly like, maybe even putting the choice up to a vote or reusing them for multi-slot YCHes if anyone is interested in them.
